As the title suggests, this book is a mixed bag of designs, from the relatively simple and cartoonish "Ba-loony Bunny", to the stunning "Majestic Iris." The images of birds, flowers and landscapes are particularly beautiful, and are alone worth the price of the book.

You know very well that skunk cabbage is not a state flower, but do you know what your state flower is? This book has 51 full sized state flowers as full-sized patterns as well as in color. What is the 51st state? We'll let you guess. These projects are a natural for touristy type gift shops.

These 17 full sized patterns consist of oval and rectangular panels which are made of a minimum number of pieces of glass, ranging from 8 to 36 pieces. This book is one of a series, each entitled "Look what you can do with x pieces or less!", where x = number of pieces. (For some reason, we skipped over this one back in 2000 when it was first published, but that doesn't mean it's not a wonderful book, full of quality patterns you'd expect from Carolyn Kyle.) And now a math problem: If there were 15 pieces in 1995, 20 pieces in 2000 and 25 pieces in 2002, how many pieces were there in 2004? For anyone attempting a stained glass mirror project for the first time, this book is a "must". (A discussion of the dread "black-edge" is featured prominently.)

This book from Australia has an excellent variety of subject matter and design styles. It contains several good abstract designs. There is a variety of florals, each with a Victorian, Nouveau or Deco influence.

These design patterns represent 60 of Audubon's famous birds translated in the medium of stained glass. All were taken from The Birds of America (1840-1844) 60 pages.

This book has some rather large projects, all of which are of a tropical nature, including racing turtles. Not full sized, the patterns must be enlarged.
