What is a Nymph you ask?  A mythological creature. One of the lesser deities of mythology, these beautiful maidens inhabited the ocean, rivers, woods, trees, mountains, and meadows. They hung around with Poseidon, his brother Zeus, and the like -- a good time was had by all.

The Dancing Nymphs Jewel is 1-3/8" Diameter (35 mm).  Its carving is raised "relief", and it has a faceted beveled edge.

The carved flower basket jewel is a flat oval intaglio jewel.  In case you were wondering what "intaglio" means, here you go:

Intaglio - a gem, seal, piece of jewelry, or the like, cut with an incised or sunken design.

The carving is intricate and the edge is faceted and beveled.  Quality workmanship, and new but vintage and collectible.  Made in West Germany of Bavarian Crystal.

Size  is 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" (35mm x 40mm).

The Warrior Head Oval Intaglio Jewel is 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" (30mm x 40mm).  It is a clear jewel with a detailed carving of a Roman Warrior.  Made is West Germany of Baravian Crystal.

This Nymph and Cherub Oval Intaglio Jewel is 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" (30 mm x 40 mm).  It is a clear jewel with a very detailed carving of a Nymph, a Cherub, and a small butterfly.  It has a beveled edge.

Made in West Germany of Barvarian Crystal.

Add an Asian flair to your piece. This jewel is a carving of a Chinese man talking a stroll in his garden. He is wearing ancient Chinese dress, with a parasol and bamboo hat. The carving is very detailed, it is incized/intagio, and it is clear and flat with a beveled edge. The jewel size is 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" (30 mm x 40 mm).

This jewel was made in West Germany. Collectible and vintage but new - beautiful workmanship.

Please allow us to introduce a new jewel that you haven't seen yet.  It's one of our vintage crystal jewels that somehow never made it on to the website.This jewel is amber colored, and its carved design has less intricate detail than the clear jewels, but these differences create a lovely effect.

We call this jewel "Venus Disarming Cupid", as it depicts Cupid's mother Venus holding Cupid's arrow out of his reach.

This dark-amber flat intagio carved jewel is flat with a beveled edge.  It is very cute and falls into the romantic category.  It is 1-3/8" (35 mm) round.
