Copper Foil

Used instead of lead in most lampshade work, and on many other projects. First you wrap the copper foil around the entire perimeter of the glass, where it is held in place by its adhesive backing. After you have wrapped and fitted together several pieces, you run a continuous bead of solder along all of the exposed copper. You then turn the work over and repeat the process on the reverse.

Venture Tape 1.0 mil Copper Foil Tape

This is the standard thickness tape that we have been offering for the past 20 years. Each roll contains 36 yards.

•	Venture Tape Heavy Gauge Copper Foil Tape This tape is 1.5 mil thick and is preferred by some because it does not tear as easily. Other folk prefer the lighter gauge because it is easier to crimp around the edge of the glass.

When you wrap a piece of mirror with regular foil, you see a reflection in the mirror of the back of the foil, which is copper colored. Black Back Copper Foil presents a non-reflective, black internal lip for near invisibility on the workpiece. 36 yard rolls.

•	Venture Tape 1.5 mil Silver Back Copper Foil Tape For use with all clear, non-opalescent glass and mirrors to match the visible internal lip of foil with soldered seams. 36 yard rolls.

Venture Tape 1.5 mil New Wave Copper Foil 5/16 in

This 1.5 mil copper tape is 5/16" wide at the widest point. It is designed to be used for decorative edging and other fancy stuff. 36 yard rolls.
