Antique Fusibles
During the many years that we have been in the stained glass business we have gained a well-earned reputation as the foremost clearing house for oddments and memorabilia in the realm of decorative glass items. Among our trophies have been such necessities of life as fish eyes on wire, glass noses for fur pieces, mantles for gas jets, railroad semaphore lenses, omnibus tail-light lenses in spanish, glass elevator indicator lights, and other important artifacts for which connoisseurs of the ceramic arts have never ceased to clamor.

Persons who have taken up the craft of glass fusing will not fail to appreciate the appeal of our unrivaled selection of antique buttons and similar small pressed glass items that have lain unsullied for more than 70 years in our warehouse, waiting for that magic moment to arrive which heralds that dawning of a new day in the world of decorative arts. Rather than look for odds and ends in the stalls of the Five and Dime to add interest and mystery to your fusing project, why not consider a genuine antique glass object that will add beauty, integrity and a Down-Side Stop-Loss Position investment-wise to your creation?

We have a fine selection of these ancient trophies that we have sorted, cleaned, and put up into nice little assortments that are sure to please the most fastidious taste. Our Research and Development Department has conducted experiments in which they have fused each of them onto the small glass pieces such as those which you have been using for earrings, brooches, tie pins and the like.

Each assortment contains a selection in jet black (about 50%), colors (about 20%), and white and clear shapes. Some of the clear ones are discs that were used as peepholes in apartment doors. Others of the clear ones were used as covers for typewriter keys during the time when the letters were made of cardboard and were held in place with brass rims. The black ones were mostly dickey buttons, camisole buttons, and decorative devices for evening wear. The colored ones were spangles and other adjuncts to flapper costumes.

We offer two assortments, in which we have attempted to give you a fairly diverse representation of the entire gamut of this vast inventory of oddities. Each assortment will vary from month to month, as we excavate further into lower strata of our archives.
