Iridescent glass

These are standard cathedral and opalescent art glass colors to which have been added an iridized surface sheen, which is reflected as a multicolored rainbow mixture of colors, but which disappears when the glass is held up to a light source. Ideal for your stained glass projects containing images of butterflies, dragonflies, bodies of water, or oil spills.

Spectrum Clear Krinkle Iridescent (I/100K) *New!* This glass has an ethereal, magical quality to it. It would be ideal for the wings of angels, or of certain non-lepidopteran arthropods. This is a clear glass with raised "krinkles". The color can be seen when light is reflected at certain angles. The colors in this photo are an artists' rendition, as the iridescence is nearly impossible to capture in a photograph. Available in 8" x 12" or 12" x 16". The larger image here is an approximation of how it looks sitting here on the shelf. It's an orange-red wispy that has hints of other colors dancing in it, and an almost metallic reflectiveness to it. The smaller image is an actual photo we took showing how it goes berserk when you reflect a lot of light on it, as iridized glass is wont to do. You will not be disappointed. Wissmach Crystal Seedy Iridized (01 CD Irid) This looks just like Wissmach Clear Seedy except it's iridized. No big surprise there. The photo here is more of a close-up than the photos of the other iridized selections.
