Opalescent Glass

Opalescent glass is the same thickness as cathedral glass, and contains the same metallic oxides, which give the color to the glass. The difference between cathedral and opalescent glass is the white semi-opaque glass which is stirred into the molten batch.
The result is a marbling or streaking that diffuses the transmitted light and blends the color or colors with the white glass. There are varying degrees of translucency in this offering, and we have noted many deviations from average.
You will find in this category some of the most beautiful glass imaginable for your stained glass panel, lampshade, or other creation.
