Grinders & Accessories

Glass grinders and accessories are among the most useful tools for the serious stained glass hobbyist. Even those of us who are just fooling around can get an immense boost from the versatility that an grinder adds to our armament. With a glass grinder, you can grind away any ragged edges quickly. If you have cut the piece of glass slightly oversize, you can trace the paper pattern onto the glass and grind the glass piece so that it is a perfect fit. With your glass grinder you can grind the pieces of glass into shapes which would be almost impossible to accomplish in any other manner. Inside curves are astonishingly easy with a grinder. These machines will surely aid and abet you in some of your wildest glass-shaping fantasies.

Diamond Glass Drill Bits
Diamond Glass Drill Bits

Cut holes in glass from 1mm to 13mm (1/2 in). While we might want to call these "drill bits," most people refer to them as simply "drills" for some reason. Diamond wire drills and core drills are made by diamond coating one end of a solid rod (wire drills) or hollow metal tube (core drills). They work with a standard electric drill or rotary tool (like a Dremel).
