Hat Fastener
Product Description
Here is the utmost in utility. With very little effort on your part you may now secure your chapeau to your head (what better place?) in such a manner that it will persist in its attitude through any sort of tumult in which you may be tempted to engage. Ride your motorcycle; engage in confrontations with constables, etc.; take part in love-ins (Platonic, of course) or similar exercises with impunity. Your "Best" Hat Fastener will remain faithfully atop your bun, functioning as only a hat fastener can function to keep your hat secure.
These ingenious devices were patented on November 10, 1908. They were sold in pairs, and come packed one dozen to the box. The legend on the box says "Made of Best Brass, Heavily Plated, Guaranteed not to rust or corrode".
"They make no holes in the hat, therefore will not injure hats of the finest material. Fancy hat pins may be left in the hat for ornaments if desired."
With the "Best" Hat Fastener available at such little cost, the folly of venturing forth without it become immediately apparent to even the person little given to such prudent action.
These hat fasteners have been in storage since before World War I, but are in fine condition. They are guaranteed to be functional. Limited quantity.
$ .75 per pair, 12 pairs in a labeled box, $7.50.
