Knowing What to Order

Naturally, the more you buy of any one shape, the lower the price. So we suggest that you estimate carefully how much you intend to use during, say, the next 6 months, and order on that basis. If you think you will need 6 feet of 1/16 Flat U Lead, you would order a 6-Foot Length, #8065. If you can use more, and would like to save money, order #0508, a 45-pound Mini Case with 880 feet in it. A 120-pound case (#8508) contains as much as 2,640 feet. Whip out your abacus and see what you save on larger quantities.

Loose Lengths

The lengths vary from 5'-6" to 6'-0", and are priced by the length. Click on How We Pack Lead Came for a bit more info on loose lengths.

Continuous Spools

It appears we will not be offering spools for the forseeable future, we are sad to report. The fellow who winds the spools has decided he's wound his last spool. We will try to persuade him otherwise, however, because we are extremely fond of our spools....

Mini Cases of Lead Came

The contents of the Mini Case is sheathed in polyethylene, and interleaved with butcher's paper, in exactly the same way as the large 120 pound cases, so that the lead came is protected against oxidization.

These are full cases of lead that can be shipped via U.P.S. The full case and its contents weigh slightly less than 50 pounds. (Click on How We Pack Lead Came for more details.) The strips of lead in these boxes are approximately 47 inches long, and there is about 45 pounds net weight in each case.

These are 120-pound cases in which the lengths are approximately 5'-6" to 6'-0" long. (Click on How We Pack Lead Came for more details.)

These 120-pound cases require shipping by motor freight. We will contact you for approval of shipping costs prior to shipping this lead.

The factory seldom ships exactly 120 pounds, because the lead came emitter has a sticky faucet. So if they send more or less than 120 pounds, we will adjust your order total accordingly, and charge your credit card the exact amount.
