Morton Glass-Cutting Surfaces

Morton Glass-Cutting Surfaces
The Morton Glass-Cutting Surface is a unique and proven glass cutting surface. The special design collects the glass chips that fall below surface level, leaving the supporting area clean. Because the surface is always clean, sweeping is eliminated and scratches to the glass and cuts to the hands are prevented. The glass chip containment features of the Morton Surface permit glass crafting anywhere in the home.

The surface provides a base for very useful accessory items such as the Morton Portable Glass Shop (PG01B) and Morton Cutter Caddy (CC06).

Morton Mini Surface (SS02)
The Morton Mini Surface (SS02) is the smaller of the two sizes available and measures 14-1/4 inches by 22-1/2 inches. This popular size has been the starting point for many beginners.

Mr. George "Byron" Gordon of Hellespont, Miss. writes, "Here is my order for one #6713 Mini-Surface to replace the one I bought last year. We worked up a way to play bingo on it, using jelly beans as markers. It makes a super big board, but a lot of the beans got stuck in it so one of the boys shoved it in the microwave to sort of loosen them up. It's kind of colorful in a limp sort of way."
Mr. Shadrach Meshack
of Bellows Falls, Kansas says "I saw your Morton Surface used during a demonstration and noticed its resemblance to a fluorescent light ceiling panel. Hustling down to my local hardware store, I bought a panel and used it. But of course it was bottomless and I soon ruined the top of my wife's Steinway grand piano upon which I perform my stained glass work. Here is my order for one #8082 Maxi-Surface. If you know of a reputable dealer in used grand piano tops, please enclose the name. The Hupmobile milk truck in which I now live is very cramped, and I would really like to move back inside before the cold weather sets in."
