Swell for unsnarling nasal hair. $5.71 |  The Morton Clean Cut (ZM01) is a combination vise and miter device designed specifically for helping you cut thin metals such as those used in the stained glass craft. It holds the zinc, lead or brass came secure for cutting without crushing them. It also provides saw guides for making 90-degree and 45-degree cuts.
The Clean Cut is designed to be used with a hack saw (purchased separately). It is very important that the blade have 32 teeth per inch. Because the metals are very thin, the fine tooth blade is necessary to prevent grabbing. $14.88 |
 The Morton Thrifty Lite Kit (TLK1) is a great way to get a quality light box on the cheap. Comes as unfinished wood with simple assembly required. Morton suggests painting the inside white, or lining it with foil for better light output. Requires a Morton Mini Surface (14.25" by 22.5") and a light fixture, both of which you need to purchase separately.
Use the Mini Surface cell side up for glass cutting and smooth side up for drawing. You must purchase a light fixture for the Thrifty Lite Kit. The 25" General Electric Bright Stik and the Lights of America Model 7020 are the two options that will work with the TLK1. Wal-Mart has been a good source for both fixtures but the fixtures can be found at many home improvement and hardware stores.
