We've gotten so many requests for explanations of how the extenders and motion producting devices work that we put together a little display which we hope will shed some light on this fascinating subject. Wire Style On-Off Lever for Music Box Movement Spring loaded. Safety Key for Music Box Movement, Medium Safety Keys. Child-proof: Once installed cannot be removed. OK, technically, they can be removed with a hammer and a large set of pliers, thereby totally destroying the music box movement, but you know what we mean. Turn shafts are used to drive things like crank style assemblies, orbital motion rods and some turntables. Cannot be removed once it has been snapped in place. Smooth Turn Shaft for Music Box Movement Turn shafts snap into accessory opening on the side of Sankyo (NOT Yun Sheng) full size 18-note musical movements. Turn shafts are used to drive things like crank style assemblies, orbital motion rods and some turntables. Cannot be removed once it has been snapped in place. Smooth shaft is used with any accessory that is fixed with a set screw instead of threads. These extenders are designed to be used singly or in combination to achieve any length within reason.

It is made of polished brass, and takes solder readily.
