TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE: Once again this offering supersedes all previous offerings covering stained glass supplies. Items which were offered before but which do not appear in this site no longer exist. It seems they just disappeared mysteriously one night, and no amount of ordering or reordering will call them back. So chin up, let’s order something we all know can be supplied.
ORDERING: We are aware that ordering things from a Web site can be somewhat of a nuisance. One cannot see, feel, smell or listen to the product, to judge its worth, durability or beauty. One is at the mercy of the unfeeling people at the other end who, past experience has shown, are thieves, charlatans, and can’t count.
We hope you will order from our offerings so we may try to prove to you that you are at least partially wrong. We have albums full of letters from satisfied customers who have written to us in unguarded moments pointing out some of the things we have done right.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE. Please allow a week or so for delivery on any order. At certain times we are able to ship orders within a day or two from the time that we receive them, but during the heavy seasons, despite putting on extra help and working overtime, we occasionally get a bit behind. If you need something in a hurry, you might want to telephone your order to us and tell us when you must have it. We will try to accommodate you if at all possible.
YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED. Whittemore-Durgin was founded in 1926, and began offering stained glass craft supplies in 1969.
As it was in the dimly remembered past, every order you send to us is accepted with the understanding that if the goods we send you are not found perfectly satisfactory you can return them to us at our expense and the payment, including the shipping costs, will be promptly credited to your credit card account.
If our goods please you, you cannot do us a greater favor than to tell your friends and direct them to our Web site where we fondly hope they will also order from us.
If our goods don’t please you, you cannot do us a greater favor than to return the goods at our expense and get your money back.
ABOUT MISTAKES: If we make a mistake in filling your order, kindly give us a chance to correct it. We try to fill every order absolutely correctly, but errors sometimes creep in as they do in all businesses. You will always find us willing to correct ours. Do not fail to E-mail us or call us in case of an error; otherwise we may never know of it.
RETURNED MERCHANDISE: If you want to return any goods to us for exchange or credit, please call us first, giving your reason. We will tell you how to send it and give you instructions so we can properly credit you when the goods arrive.
Shipping and handling charges will be added automatically to the order you place on our site.

OVERSEAS ORDERS. We welcome orders from customers outside the USA. Because of the many different postal rates involved we cannot publish a standard rate based on the value of the goods as we do for domestic shipments, but must calculate the weight of the goods and of the packing material.
We therefore suggest that you fax or e-mail a list of the things you would like to buy from us. We will then fax or e-mail you a delivered price. We will include a separate total for the goods, and then a total for First Class Air. You can then decide whether or not you wish to place the order.
OUR ENVELOPE FLAP STERILIZING EQUIPMENT
All of our sales literature, correspondence and routine dunning notices are first run through this machine to remove bacteria and harmful germs.
Special covered conveyors then move each batch of mail to a co-called "clean room" where Junior High School girls lick the flaps and the postage stamps. These girls are selected for us by a screening committee who test tem for motivation, relevance, and also whether or not they are Normal, Healthy 100% American Girls. Upon passing the screening committee they undergo rigorous training before being added to our mailing room staff.
You are thus assured that every piece of mail you receive from us is as utterly pure as we can make. You can also be sure that any bacteria or harmful germs lurking in any of our sales literature are a result of contamination at the hands (or feet) of employees of the U. S. Postal Service.

Our own Millie Sue, making it big in our Address Correction Department.
Be sure to write to Millie Sue if you run away from home, get drafted, get out on parole, or otherwise change your place of principal domicile.
Millie is a very conscientious person and appreciates all the help she can get.
She would be really happy if you would order under the same name each time. Duplicate records are wasteful and cause confusion. | |
