Harps
|
Sometimes when you have nothing else to do, you should examine some of the lamps in your house. If you peek under a shade, you may notice a certain frame-like device which is connected to the lamp, and which supports the lampshade. This device is called a harp, and is particularly useful if you happen to need one. Taking it for granted that there are a certain number of people that need almost everything, we have ordered in a goodly supply of these, trusting that we will be able to sell them to customers who are making stained glass lampshades to fit lamps that do not have harps. All of these harps have a threaded stub at the top, which is cut to fit a 1/4-27 fitting. You will notice that all of the finials which we stock are threaded 1/8 I.P. Thus, in order to use a finial at the top of a lampshade which is being supported by the harps we sell, you would have to purchase #6627 Reducing Bushing. These are available at modest cost..
