Spiders These brass-plated lampshade holders are mentioned many times in patterns and instruction books concerning small lampshades. They can be cut to smaller sizes to fit specific situations. The heavy center washers have a 7/16" hole, which slips over standard threaded nipples. Mr. Orris Root, of Punxatawney, Vermont says: "When we had our annual Sunday School picnic last November, we brought along your spiders, and long pointed sticks, which we jammed through the washers. They were perfect for roasting our wienies over the campfire. We call them our Whittemore-Durgin Multi-Wienie Roasters."
