A ripple bit is used to shape the edge of glass that has a deep texture, such as ripple glass, so that you can easily foil or lead it. Your solder lines will be cleaner and you won't be so frustrated trying to get the foil on your glass. You can grind a single surface or the top and bottom simultaneously, and there is a section of diamond grit below the ripple part for regular grinding. This bit can also be used for stone or tile.
