This lovely jewel is a shade of red called gold-pink, which is a bit lighter than ruby red. With a blue sky in the background, it turns pinkish.
Its color is referred to as gold-pink because actual gold is used to create the red-pink color. (Hence the high price.)
It's about 1/8" thick around the very edge, about 1/2" high in the center, and just over 1-1/2" (40mm) round.
