This 2-hour class session is eight (8) weeks long, held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon with John starting Saturday, September 9, at our Rockland, Mass., store.
In this popular and comprehensive Leaded Glass Course, you will learn the craft of leaded glass: its history, how to use the tools, and how to design and construct a window using lead came.
You are expected to bring your own basic tools. Leadworking tools and some materials are supplied for this Lead class. Additional materials may be purchased at a 10% student discount rate. In addition, each week a special store discount will be offered exclusively for students. You can easily cover the cost of the course with the money saved with these discounts!
IMPORTANT PREQUISITE: You must have already taken one of our regular stained glass classes (copper foil method), or have some experience cutting glass and soldering! This is not a beginner stained glass course! That said, the course is designed for glass artists who have little or no experience working with lead. If you have some lead experience, the instructor will work with you to improve your skills. As with all our courses, you will receive plenty of individual instruction tailored to your level.
